For most of the teens, this party carries the brand of liberty and they will keep an unforgettable memory if this night doesn’t turn into a nightmare.

Warning & recommendations

The Full Moon Party attracts between 10 000 and 15 000 persons depending of the season. Including this number, you might find some «  Bad persons » Which means you should be aware.

Knowing that most of the problems are the result of excessive alcohol and drug consummation. Pick-pockets, burglary, house braking etc. Rape is a rare crime.

A few rules to follow:

- Take enough money, maybe split into separate pockets. Around 2500 Bath is enough to cover most eventualities.

 - Take a copy of your passport, not the original.

 - Take care of your valuables, safety lockers are available for rent in many travel agents in Haad Rin.

 - Don’t’ be tempted to take bags as they are easily forgotten after few buckets.

 - If you party alone, don’t accept a drink from a stranger as it might contain a sleeping pill.

 - Don’t accept drugs. Some of the «  Bad persons » might cooperate with the local police and will cause you a huge problem by turning you in.

 - Avoid a one night stand after a few buckets. You might wake up the next day with all values and belongings gone.

 - Don’t intervene in any kind of fight, a small incident might turn into a huge one.

Remember that the Full Moon Party is one of the biggest « non secure » assembly in the world. The police corps being present at the party is minor compared to the number of visitors.
